Our company purchased a shrink wrap machine for our stationary business. Our company is located in Nevada and the seller is in Alabama. We're wondering if we can claim a credit for sales taxes paid to Alabama and have it apply to our Nevada Use Tax? We do have some employees in Alabama and thus have nexus there.

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

In Nevada, there is a credit for sales or use tax paid to another state. The credit will be applied to the use tax due upon proof of payment deemed satisfactory to the Nevada Department of Revenue.
