The IRS has extended the March 1 farmer filing deadline to April 15, 2013 for those farmers who miss the March 1 deadline. This sounds strange, but that is how the IRS worded it. So, to directly answer your question, you do not have to do anything if you miss the 3/1/2013 deadline as there is relief for this year. Please note that you should attach Form 2210-F when you file the tax return after the 3/1/2013 deadline.
