I would like to know what information I need to help get my company's taxes filed for 2007,2008, & 2009. The company is an S Corporation.

ANSWER

Expert Michael Lim's Answer:

At the very least, you will need the following information to file an S-Corp. tax return (Form 1120S):

1.)  Name, address, and social security number of shareholders and officers.

2.)  % ownership of each shareholder.

3.)  Profit and Loss Statement for each Year.

4.)  Balance Sheet for each Year

5.)  List of assets purchased for each Year.

6.)  Amounts invested in the corporation by each shareholder.

7.)  Any loans made by any of the shareholders.

More information may be needed, but this is the base level of info that you (or an accountant) will need to file an accurate return.
