If I work in Kentucky and live in Ohio and the take out taxes for both states can I get money back from Kentucky state taxes and claim my Ohio taxes.

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

Yes: since you are an Ohio resident you should file an Ohio tax return, and report 100% of your

taxable income, and 100% of your tax deductions, thereon. Since KY taxes were also withheld,

you must file a KY non-resident return, and claim a 100% refund for the KY taxes that were withheld.

You will need to include a copy of your Ohio return, with the KY return, to confirm your Ohio residency.
