Do I have to file a federal form when I inherit securities from a trust of less than 2,000,000?

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:
It depends on whether the inheritance is a gift, or the inheritance
from a donor's estate. If it is a 2010 estate inheritance, there is no
estate tax, and for 2011, the exemption amount is $3.5M, so under either
scenario, there is no estate tax liablity. Conversely, if it is a gift transaction,
the gift exemption amount is only $1M.
