My husband passed away on September 15th. I am 58 years old and have 3 boys 27, 22, and 21 and I live in Texas. We have no assets. We have about $109,000 in credit card debt: $45 000 of which is an unsecured loan which both my husband and I were on. $2

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

Do not go into default, on any of the debts. Sell the house, and then use

the proceeds, and the life insurance proceeds, to purchase a smaller house.

Use the remaining proceeds to payoff the debts, that you are liable for. The credit

card debt, in your deceased Husband's name, is not your liability.
