If I filed that I was married and I am not, what happens?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

If you were single, as of 12/31, of the applicable tax year,

the return was filed incorrectly; thus, it needs

to be amended, to reflect that you were single;

or you may file as "head of household;" if you

supported a dependent, for the said tax year.
