We have retail stores in New York, New Jersey, and parts of Connecticut. Many of our parking lots have had a lot of snow and we hired private contractors for removal. Are those services subject to sale tax? What about the salt spreaders?

ANSWER

The BIDaWIZ Team's Answer:

Snow removal is subject to sales tax in all three states. Please note that rock salt spreading is considered part of the service and taxable in all three states.
